The Kurt Weill Fest Dessau completes its three-part discovery of Weill's career with this year's offering, "New York, New York!" With over fifty events--concerts, stage performances, films, exhibitions, discussions, and more--the Fest will focus on Weill's years in the U.S. (1935-1950) and the artistic and theatrical environment that he encountered and helped to shape. This year's festival will feature several winners from the Lotte Lenya Competition and Artist-in-Residence James Holmes, noted conductor and Weill interpreter. Here are a few highlights:
