Last spring, Patti LuPone (pictured at right) inaugurated the hottest club on Broadway, 54 Below, with a show called "Far Away Places." She will also inaugurate a series of recordings drawn from performances at the club to be issued on Broadway Records. Now everyone can hear the star's stylings on a collection of songs with a geographical theme. Four Kurt Weill standards are featured on the CD: "Bilbao-Song," "Sailors' Tango" (Ah, the Sea Is Blue), "Pirate Jenny," and "September Song." Here are links to reviews of her live show in the New York Times, backstage.com, and playbill.com.
