Tabitha Johnson Office Manager / Administrative Assistant

2023 -

Tabitha Johnson is a musician and arts administrator. A classically trained pianist with a passion for the arts and all that they entail, she has degrees in piano performance from both Manhattan School of Music and McGill University, along with a Minor in Music Business Entrepreneurship from McGill. Her studies led to many opportunities in Canada and the United States, including a concert tour of Ontario, Canada at the age of sixteen and a 2018 concerto recital of Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor at Miami Music Festival.

She enjoyed entering the Music Business Entrepreneurship program in its inaugural year, incorporating coursework at the Desautels Faculty of Management, Schulich School of Music, and the Faculty of Science. The program was designed to prepare students for professional activities such as the conceptualization, development, and operation of new professional ventures or the management of a career as a performer, music teacher, or arts administrator. It provided a base of skills such as those fundamental to marketing, fundraising, publicity, and financial administration.

Building on her educational and professional background, Tabitha enjoys learning more about Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, and Marc Blitzstein. Some of her favorite hobbies include listening to podcasts and going for walks.
