The orchestra has given two tours in the past and plans an ambitious one this year with four performances in Germany and three in Israel (see below for complete schedule) under conductor Michael Sanderling. Alongside Weill’s Symphony no. 2, they will perform Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto no. 1 with Alexey Stadler as soloist and Tchaikovsky’s Overture to Romeo and Juliet. The orchestra will also give the world premiere of a brand-new work by Israeli composer Ziv Cojocaru, Links.Metamorphosis, which was composed for the group.
